Mari is a freelance writer, journalist, and speaker from southeast Michigan. Her work focuses largely on queer and trans issues, feminism, media analysis, and political commentary. Her work has appeared in Autostraddle, Bustle, Daily Dot, Everyday Feminism, Mic, Flavorwire, Salon, Good Men Project, and TransAdvocate. Her 2014 criticism of Dr Paul McHugh was cited by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. She has given numerous invited talks across the country, and has sat on dozens of convention and conference panel. She is currently pursuing an MA in Diversity and Social Justice in Higher Education and LGBTQI Studies.
